INSURANCE VS. PRIVATE PAY CONSIDERATIONS

Many people chose to utilize their medical insurance to cover some of the expense for Psychotherapy. While we celebrate that more medical insurance plans are recognizing the value of mental health services and are providing more coverage for that, there are also some benefits to choosing to pay privately for this service rather than going through insurance.

Paying privately for psychotherapy services ensures that you have complete control over the treatment and care you want to receive since that decision is made solely between you and your therapist. Sometimes Insurance companies will authorize and pay for only a certain number of sessions for specific conditions, or not cover certain treatment modalities.

GOOD FAITH ESTIMATE OF COST

Whether you are paying privately or utilizing medical insurance, we want you to know what you can expect to pay prior to your first appointment. Our private pay rates are clearly listed below for that purpose. If using medical insurance, we will verify your benefits and provide you a Good Faith Billing Estimate of your out-of-pocket costs for services as part of our intake process.

If you find that the cost of care is a barrier or a burden for you, please let us know so that we can connect you with the most appropriate resource.
