My name is Marlin and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has worked in the social work field for over four years with experiences in oncology, mental health, hospital, and substance abuse. I earned a Bachelor of Social Work degree from the Texas A&M University-Central Texas and a Master’s of Social Work with a concentration in Mental Health and Substance Abuse from the University of Texas at Arlington.
Prior to my career in social work, I was a soldier in the United States Army for 26 years with multiple tours of combat. My experience, as a senior leader in the Army, along with my formal training as a Clinical Social Worker are great assets in problem solving and trauma focused therapy. I provide an open, safe, and non-judgmental space to voice your thoughts, emotions, or fears. Together we will explore how you cope with life changes or transitions, anxiety, stress, depression, trauma, etc. and build the appropriate “tool box” for you to tackle these challenges. Therapy is a partnership, and together I will help you reach positive outcomes to create everlasting change in your life.
