Dena is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in working with adults in a variety of different therapy settings to treat concerns such as depression, crisis intervention, trauma, PTSD/Combat Stress, adjustment concerns, stress and anger management, conflict resolution, unresolved grief, substance abuse, and emotional concerns. Dena is dedicated to providing evidence-based, empathetic, and individualized counseling that empowers clients. Dena has experience and training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI), as well as other evidence-based treatment modalities. Dena is also a Master Resiliency Trainer for the Department of Defense.
Dena earned a Bachelor of Business Administration- Management from the Sullivan University in Louisville, Kentucky and a Master of Social Work from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas. She is currently pursuing a Masters of Education at Texas A&M University-Kingsville after which she hopes to teach at a collegiate level. She lives in Salado, Texas with her husband who recently retired from the military, her son and their 3 dogs. Her daughter is a student at Texas A&M University in College Station. In her free time, Dena enjoys spending time with her family and dogs, traveling the world, working out and watching her son play football.
